Central African Republic
Central Africa / The Hidden Forest
The Central African Republic sits at the geographical heart of the continent, covered in rainforest and savannah, with the Sangha River forming one of the world's great tri-national protected areas at its southwestern corner - a forest shared with Congo and Cameroon where western lowland gorillas, forest elephants and bongo move without reference to the borders humans drew around them. Dzanga-Sangha is one of the most extraordinary wildlife experiences in Africa, reached with difficulty and rewarding that difficulty fully.
